Hey
, I'm
M.A Sattar
Toxicologist, Regulatory Affairs & FELASA LAS Specialist
Project: Osteogenic potential of adipose stem cells in periodontal tissue engineering. Isolation of primary adipose stem cells from human and mouse adipose tissue, stem cell differentiation, ELISA, RT-qPCR.
Project: Molecular control of G-coupled protein receptor signaling. Molecular cloning of C.elegans arrestin-1 by site-directed mutagenesis, PCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA transfection with Lipofectamine 2000, BRET assay, ligand-receptor interaction by fluorescence microscopy.
Development of web content, creation of a literature database, database management.
Conception and implementation of a process for the central recording of laboratory animal numbers, data analysis, evaluation and presentation of data on animal experiments, scientific research and literature research.
I’m a toxicologist and laboratory animal science specialist with two M.Sc. degrees (Toxicology, University of Potsdam; Laboratory Animal Science, RWTH Aachen) and a strong interest in building a career in regulatory affairs. Over the past years, I have worked as a research associate in academic medical settings, combining in-vitro and in-vivo expertise with rigorous documentation and data analysis. My work includes primary cell isolation and differentiation, ELISA and RT-qPCR, histopathological and toxicological assessments, and hands-on animal study execution across multiple species. Alongside research, I have built skills in evidence synthesis through systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and I’m familiar with key regulatory frameworks including Directive 2010/63/EU (animal welfare), OECD and ICH guidelines, MDR, and REACH. I also completed training in GLP fundamentals and hold FELASA certifications (Functions A, B & D / LAS Specialist). I’m now leveraging this scientific and regulatory foundation to transition into regulatory affairs roles where I can support compliant, high-quality development programs from nonclinical strategy to submission-ready documentation.
